11.5.14 Project update for Main: Archives is now open! YAY! Computers are available and we hope to have a small bit of seating by day's end. Unfortunately, most of the 2nd floor book collection will be unavailable through next week. We truly appreciate your patience and are pleased that those of you who have visited have liked our new look. You're the best!

11.3.14   Second floor at Main will open for ONLY computer and copier access and reference services at 1 pm today, Monday, November 3. (And bathrooms! There will be bathroms!) There will be no additional seating and no access to books, microfilm/fiche and Archives. If you need elevator access, a staff member will bring you up in the staff elevator.  This will be in effect until later this week.

11.3.14   The excellent news is that Children's is open and looks fabulous! The less than excellent news is that the 2nd floor at Main is still inaccessible. Materials from Archives and 2nd floor will not be available until at least later this week, but we hope to provide reference service and computer and copier access by Monday evening. Reference is still answering email, instant message, and the phone, though.  Call us at 608.789.7122 for service or updates.

Due to our carpet and shelving installation project, all services on the 2nd floor at Main will be unavailable through Sunday, Nov 2.  The great news is that Children's will reopen on Saturday!

Be aware that fumes from the carpet project may still be present on the first floor today through next week.

10.26.14  We will begin a long-overdue carpeting/shelving project on October 27 at Main. Main will be open throughout the project, but some departments and services will be inaccessible. We apologize for any inconvenience. Both North and South will be open regular hours

October 27-31

  • Youth Services closed to public
  • No drive-up bookdrop
  • No holds/requests on Main Youth Services and 2nd floor materials
  • 2nd floor materials will be moved to carts and will be accessible most of the week
