It's almost Valentines Day and you love books. The Friends of the Library gets you. Tonight, a preview sale for Friends, with memberships available at the door (starting at 5:30). Doors open 6-8 pm. Tomorrow, anyone can grab goodies from 9-1. Most everything is $1 or less. So much great stuff in many formats, for all ages.
We will be open on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, Monday, January 18, at all locations.
1.11.16 Join us at Main in the Auditorium on January 14, 4-7 pm as we join forces with River City Hobbies for a tabletop game night. There will be games for all ages, including board games, card games and more. Come, learn something new or bring a favorite game to share with friends. This program is for all ages.
12.23.15 We have had tremendous interest in our new streaming media service, Hoopla, which is available to City of La Crosse residents. We thought we should clarify this. For library card purposes, having a La Crosse address doesn't necessarily make you a City of La Crosse resident. Library service is based on where you pay your taxes. So, folks in Campbell, Shelby, Medary and other small townships who may have a city address, are not, for library purposes, city residents. Your tax dollars support the La Crosse County library system (Onalaska, Campbell, West Salem, Holmen, and Bangor). Even though we have a shared catalog, our library services are completely separate.
