Employment Opportunity: Library Clerk

The La Crosse Public Library's Circulation Department is currently seeking two qualified, service-oriented candidates for the position of circulation clerk. The position involves check-in, sorting, verifying, and shelving library materials. Circulation clerk duties also include shelf reading, and cleaning and dusting of materials and shelves. These are 20-hour per week positions, including day, evening, and weekend hours. Flexibility is required. Primary placement is in the Circulation department at the Main Library with assignment to other departments as needed to meet library demands. Work schedules for library staff are determined by departmental needs. This is a year-round position. 

Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required. Basic computer skills are required. A passion for public service and independent judgment are desired. This position starts at $9.13 per hour.
