Time to make good on that resolution to learn a new language? We can help! The Library subscribes to Rosetta Stone Online which includes the first level of lessons for 30 different languages. Anyone can use it in the library and City of La Crosse residents can log in from home.
Find it on the website by clicking on the Research tab, then R to find Rosetta Stone. You'll need to create an account first to track progress across lessons and you'll need a microphone headset for the oral exercises. Find minimum hardward and software requirements here.
Rosetta Stone encourages learners to practice a little every day and schedule their practice time, as well as find other ways to exercise their new language skills by listening to music or the news in their new language, reading articles, or watching movies.
