Your Library
Established in 1888, the La Crosse Public Library (LPL) serves the citizens of the entire Coulee Region and is the headquarters library for the Winding Rivers Library System, LPL provides a full range of library services and programs.
Branches
The La Crosse Public Library has three branches. The Main Branch is located at 800 Main Street, near downtown La Crosse. There are also two community libraries located in the north and south areas of the city. The North Community Library is located at 1552 Kane Street and the South Community Library is located at 1307 South16th Street.

Library Departments
Those books do not just jump onto the shelves by themselves; it takes a good-sized staff to keep three branches up and running and providing you with the top quality service you have come to expect. Learn more about the various departments that support and make the services at LPL possible.

Meeting Rooms
La Crosse Public Library offers a wide variety of meeting room spaces for public use. Public meeting room space is available at all three library locations and all library locations are equipped with Wi-Fi access.
