Storytimes at the La Crosse Public Library

Join us for a wide variety of storytimes at all three of our La Crosse Public Library locations. No registration required for any of our storytimes! Drop-ins welcome. Banned Books Week Family Read-in (All Ages)

Help us kick off Banned Books Week with a family read-in! Find a comfy spot to read from your favorite historically challenged or banned children's book with your family. Participate in activities that celebrate your freedom to read! Free pizza will be provided.

Polka Tots (All Ages)

It's Oktoberfest at the library! Learn the chicken dance, make Oktoberfest crafts, and enjoy a pretzel necklace. 

Banned Books Storytime (All Ages)

  • Saturday, September 30, 10:30-11:15 AM

Join us for this family storytime featuring some frequently challenged children's books, treats and crafts. 

Little Makers (Ages 2-5)

  • Mondays, October 2, 9 & 16, 5:30-6:00 PM

Get ready to make a mess at our science and art based program. Each week, we will be making new masterpieces, trying fun experiments, sharing stories, and having a blast. Remember to dress for the mess! Registration is required for this program. Starting on September 25, please register by calling the Children's Room at (608) 789-7128.
