It’s a genealogy resource full of public records and indexes that can help you trace your family’s history. The public version of Ancestry is a subscription database, but you can use it in the library at no cost.

The La Crosse Public Library offers free computer classes for those who need to brush up on their skills or have had minimal experience with technology. Whether you're a job seeker looking to brush up on entry-level computer skills or a smart shopper looking to find great bargains online, our classes offer something for all skill levels and areas of interest. Unless noted, all classes meet in our lower level training room at the Main Street library.   

The La Crosse Public Library provides a number of free family storytimes for all ages and interests.

Join us for a different storytime every Tuesday through Friday all month long.

No registration required for our May storytime sessions. Drop-ins are welcome!

Starting May 3, you'll find the Ole's Pizza Trailer parked at the South Community Library (1307 16th Street South) every Wednesday night from 4-8 PM throughout the summer.

Dine in at the library or call ahead for pick up. The Ole's Pizza Trailer features a limited menu, including a pizza of the day and their famous Taco Pizza.

Stock up on beach reads for your summer vacation! The Friends of the La Crosse Public Library are holding their Spring Book Sale on Saturday, April 29 from 9 AM-2 PM.

All items are $1 or less. Come hunt for unique and rare titles. We've got some real treasures! All proceeds go to help support the La Crosse Public Library.
