Storytime registration starts on June 9th! This session, toddlers will not have to register for storytime.

While you’re waiting for storytime to start back up, have you checked out Tumblebooks? It’s a free service the La Crosse Public Library offers to La Crosse residents. Read some fun picture books, chapter books, or even non fiction books and enjoy puzzles, games, and videos!

We’ll see you soon!

All three La Crosse Public Library locations will be closed for the Memorial Day three-day weekend. We'll be closed Saturday, May 24 - Monday, May 26.

5.20.2104.  Need an idea for a great teen read? Stop by Main Library to use a brand new reader advisory tool— a wall of books! Well, to be accurate, it’s really a wall of the covers of some of our favorite books. Our Teen Advisory Council and teen librarian Linda put together a list of books we’d recommend to teens and then we made a wall of book recommendations. So, stop on in and check out our “wall” and see if your favorite book is on it!

5.19.2014  We had another great National History Day Celebration this year, awarding more than $1000 to middle school students for excellence in research.  Check out this great clip from WKBT--it's great to see such enthusiasm. Here's a list of this year's winners.

Join us Sunday, May 18th for a special family-friendly Footsteps of La Crosse Historic Walking Tour. This tour covers the 10th/Cass District and starts at 2:30.
