Prohibition of Weapons on Library Property
Even though the State of Wisconsin passed Concealed Carry legislation in 2011, which allows properly licensed citizens to carry concealed weapons, the Library Board voted to prohibit the carrying of weapons inside the library. While we appreciate the honesty of those who claim a weapon to staff, library staff are unable to take, watch, or secure any sort of weapon while you use the library. If you are unable to secure your weapon in a vehicle, you'll need to leave the library and return when you are able to enter without a weapon. We appreciate your cooperation.
