Artist Reception: Susan Stoffel's "Kaleidoscopic Art"

Join local artist Susan Stoffel at a reception to celebrate the opening of her new exhibit of "Kaleidoscopic Art" at the La Crosse Public Library. The reception will be held on the first floor of the Main Street Library near the fireplace reading area. All are welcome! 

Artist Statement: 

"Pattern and color are the main characters in my drawings. My art work is not planned, but sometimes I may have a wisp of an idea to begin. Usually I start with large shapes and then begin to add patterns and pre-selected colors. As you can see there is no such thing as too many patterns. As I work, I lay watercolors, paint, brush, and metallic markers, colored pencils, and sometimes crayons. It's always a surprise when I finish! The beauty of the abstract is that the viewers can decide for themselves what they see inside my drawings."
