BASIC OSHA: Injury and Illness Reporting and Recordkeeping Workshop.

Description 12:30 Registration, 1:00 program start. This free half day workshop will introduce attendees to the OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping and reporting requirements. All employers must promptly report workplace fatalities and certain injuries and illnesses. Most employers with more than 10 employees are required to keep an annual log of work related injuries and illnesses. Starting in 2017, these logs must be electronically submitted to OSHA using the online injury tracking application (ITA). This workshop will describe the requirements, and provide sample situations for practicing recordkeeping skills. The Course Will Cover • How to decide if cases are recordable on the OSHA-300 log o What is work related under OSHA o What injuries and illnesses are recorded on the log o What are first aid cases that do not need to be recorded on the log o How to count days • How to complete the OSHA-301 (or WKC-12) for recordable cases • How to complete the OSHA-300 log for recordable cases • How to complete the OSHA-300A summary form to be posted by Feb 1 of each year • How to complete the electronic submission due Mar 2 of each year • What need to be reported to OSHA (injuries, illnesses and fatalities), and how to do it Please register to ensure that there is sufficient room for you, and to ensure that the course is not cancelled.
