Artist Bio:
Shoua Yang is a relief printmaker who specializes in woodcuts. As a born refugee he resettled in the States in the early 90s. Growing up as a Hmong American, his work strongly reflects his journey through the struggles of self-identity and the Hmong heritage. Printmaking has allowed him to find a voice in the art world to create dialogues about the Hmong diaspora.
