Event Details

When’s the last time you stopped to observe the natural world, listen to the birds, or run your hand over the bark of a tree? As a society we suffer from nature deficit and studies have shown that spending mindful time in nature can combat stress, improve the immune system, and promote overall wellbeing.

In this program, we will explore the origin of Forest Bathing (shinrin-yoku), with a focus on the principals of this practice, the physiological and psychological benefits, and suggestions on how to implement these mindfulness-based methods into your life. In addition to growing your knowledge, we will engage in several experiential activities designed to give you lived moments of 'taking in the forest atmosphere.' There will be an opportunity for personal reflection, connection with kindred spirits, and simply 'being' in a natural space.

Join Dr. Kendra Holzer, PhD, LP clinician and owner of Mindful Way LLC for this rejuvenating program!
