Great River Writes presents: John DeDakis

Improve your writing by tapping into your subconscious. In this interactive author chat with award-winning novelist and journalist John DeDakis, you'll learn how to blend "write what you know" with creativity-boosting practices to up your writing game. 

DeDakis, a La Crosse native, is a former editor for CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer." During his 45-year journalism career (25 at CNN), DeDakis covered the White House, interviewed Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, and Alfred Hitchcock, wrote four novels, and taught journalism at the University of Maryland-College Park.
