The La Crosse Public Libary is partnering with the Root Note for a free monthly movie night!

Show your library card for $1 off a drink during the film. Don't have a library card? Stop by any of the three La Crosse Public Library locations to get your free library card today, or sign up for a library card at the event. A local librarian will be on hand to answer your questions about the public library and help people get library cards.

This month we'll be watching "20th Century Women" (2016, R, 118 minutes). A 2016 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Mike Mills and starring Annette Bening, Elle Fanning, Greta Gerwig, Lucas Jade Zumann and Billy Crudup. The film is set in 1970s Southern California and based in part on Mills' childhood.

This film was selected from Kanopy, the free digital streaming video service offered to all City of La Crosse residents through the La Crosse Public Library.
