The La Crosse Public Libary is partnering with the Root Note for a free monthly movie night!

Show your library card for $1 off a drink during the film. Don't have a library card? Stop by any of the three La Crosse Public Library locations to get your free library card today, or sign up for a library card at the event. A local librarian will be on hand to answer your questions about the public library and help people get library cards.

This month we'll be watching "Eighth Grade" (2018, R, 93 minutes). Comedian and writer Bo Burnham made his directorial debut with this critically-acclaimed coming-of-age story about a socially-awkward teenager trying to survive her last weeks of middle school.

This film was selected from Kanopy, the free digital streaming video service offered to all City of La Crosse residents through the La Crosse Public Library. Kanopy is proud to now offer the entire A24 film studio catalog, including recent films like "Eighth Grade," "First Reformed," "Lady Bird," "Hereditary," "The Florida Project," and more.
