Required to bring: 20 inches of clothing/fabric at least (preferably to have some thickness to it- aka not be flimsy - something like thick linen, denim, canvas, thick cotton, etc) Can be anything from an old pair of pants, sweatshirt, even curtains! The possibilities are endless.
Upcycling is a great way to practice creativity and sustainability. In this class we will be taking an old or unused article of clothing and turning it into something new and exciting; the goal of this class is to bring new life to old items!
Everything such as sewing machines, thread, and anything else needed will be provided! The only thing you are asked to bring is fabric! This can be anything from an old blanket to an old pair of pants! If you can not provide an article of clothing we will have extra fabric if necessary. 1/2 meter or 20 inches of fabric is standard for the pattern we’ll be using. For this pattern as stated before it does call for the fabric to be a thicker material, this is not necessary, although it will effect how your hat will sit on your head.
