Main Street Library, 800 Main Street, Lower Level Auditorium FilmFreaks, our Wednesday night movie series, is partnering with La Crosse Reads for a screening of Baz Luhrman’s “Romeo + Juliet” (1996, PG-13, 130 minutes). Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes star as the world’s most famous star-crossed lovers in this eye-popping, ‘90s-era adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy. Special guest Dr. Sujata Iyengar, Professor of English at the University of Georgia, will be moderating a post-film discussion.
